DNA Marker. The PCR DNA Ladder is composed of seven bands of 100 bp, 300 bp, 500 bp, 700 bp, 1,000 bp, 1,500 bp, and 2,000 bp,respectively. The 500 bp band is easily distinguishable from the others due to its higher Concentration. The PCR DNA Ladder is ideal for routine agarose gel electrophoresis of PCR products or of any DNA fragments sized between 100 bp and 2,000 bp. Quality Control: Agarose gel analysis shows that the bands between 100 bp and 2 kb are accurate in size and readily distinguishable. The 500 bp band is at least three times more intense than any other band. Incubation of 5 myl of the PCR DNA Ladder in restriction enzyme buffer overnight at 37°C shows absence of visible degradation.
